Sự hội tụ trong thiết kế mang ý nghĩa đối với chúng ta?

“Hội tụ là khi một điểm hoặc đường gặp nhau và có xu hướng dẫn đến một kết quả hoặc kết luận chung”. AYDA Awards mong muốn định hình một tương lai nơi các nhà thiết kế có nền tảng, văn hóa và khu vực khác nhau có thể học hỏi lẫn nhau, từ đó đưa ra giải pháp mang đến sự thay đổi tích cực cho các thách thức mà xã hội đang phải đối mặt.

Kể từ năm 2020 đầy biến động với đại dịch Covid-19, lối sống đã dần thay đổi để thích nghi với bối cảnh bình thường mới. Đó là một khoảng thời gian khó khăn và nhiều cơ hội cho các nhà thiết kế trẻ định hình tư duy thiết kế không gian chịu tác động từ đại dịch.

Khi thế giới đang dần phục hồi sau đại dịch Covid-19, chúng ta nhận ra mình đang sống trong một thế giới gắn kết hơn bao giờ hết. Chúng ta học cách nhìn thế giới qua lăng kính nhân văn hơn và nhìn thấy các điểm tương đồng từ nhau. Để từ đó, cùng nhau thích nghi, tồn tại và phát triển.

Thế giới có thể rộng lớn cùng sự khác biệt về quốc tịch, ngôn ngữ, tín ngưỡng và văn hóa, nhưng chúng ta luôn có một danh xưng chung – loài người. Dù mang màu da, sắc tộc hay văn hóa nào, các nhà thiết kế nên cộng tác và hội tụ bằng cách sử dụng ngôn ngữ thiết kế phổ quát và vận dụng năng lực chuyên môn để cùng nhau xây dựng một tương lai nhiều tiềm năng phát triển cho thế hệ tiếp theo.

Vai trò của một nhà thiết kế có tầm nhìn là nhìn thấy một tiêu chuẩn cao hơn để đạt đến và vượt qua. Do đó, các nhà thiết kế phải xem xét đến nhiều yếu tố sẽ góp phần ảnh hưởng đến tuổi thọ và sự phù hợp trong từng dự án, cũng như cách dự án có thể giúp mọi người vượt qua các thời điểm khó khăn.

Nắm bắt khái niệm hội tụ – sẽ góp phần giúp bạn cởi mở và nhạy bén hơn để nhìn nhận các xu hướng và nhu cầu của thời đại ngay trong cộng đồng của chính mình và truyền đạt điều đó với thế giới. Sau cùng, cô đọng bằng giải pháp có thể nhân rộng cho các quốc gia khác, tại những khu vực có những thách thức tương tự.

Thể lệ & quy định

Participants must agree to these rules & regulations in order to register for the Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA).

  • Participants must be enrolled in interior design, architectural and/or other relevant courses at an educational institution upon the time of submission.
  • Participants will be disqualified if the participant is found to have graduated upon the time of submission.
  • This award is open to all interior design students in their second year and above, as well as architectural students in their third year and above.
  • Participants must have less than one (1) year of professional working experience. University/college mandated internships are considered as professional work experience if the one (1) year internship period happens after the participant has graduated.
  • Only one entry is allowed per student.
  • Entries must strictly conform to the submission guidelines and must be submitted to the contest coordinator of each school (whenever applicable).
  • The final date of entry is 10.12.2022.
  • All entries shall become the property of Nippon Paint Group of Companies.
  • The Judges’ decisions are final.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be notified to make an oral presentation as part of the final judging procurement.
  • Winners will be notified to attend a ceremony. Winning entries may be featured in marketing and promotional materials as deemed appropriate by the organizer and sponsor.
  • Winners will bear all the expenses for travel costs and other incidentals relating to their appearance at the national launch, oral presentation and national level award ceremony.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or credit.
  • The organizer reserves the right to substitute prizes with another product of similar retail value without prior notice.
  • All participating students need to have a valid passport at the time of application.
  • Only international grand title winners that have been awarded the title of Asia Young Designer of the Year are not allowed to participate in future Asia Young Designer Award competition. We welcome repeat applications whenever possible.
